AMS Performance proudly introduces the INFINITI Q60 + Q50 Red Alpha Driveshafts, expertly crafted by DriveShaft Shop. This release marks the first in the line of Red Alpha products, specifically tailored for INFINITI Q60 and Q50 models with the VR30 3.0L Twin Turbo engine in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configurations.
Key Features:
- Carbon Fiber Model: With a 3.25″ diameter, this variant is more torsional than aluminum, allowing for smoother power transfer. It’s rated for over 1000 HP, making it perfect for high-powered applications. Carbon fiber’s flexibility (up to 30°-35° under load) also results in quieter operation and a slight weight reduction, enhancing acceleration.
- Aluminum Model: Constructed from 3.5″ x .125″ thick wall 6061-T6 aluminum, this version is rated to 3464 ft-lbs of torque and is ideal for vehicles producing up to 800 HP. The aluminum shaft provides about 15° torsion under load, offering a robust and reliable upgrade from the stock driveshaft.
- Superior One-Piece Design: Both models feature a one-piece design that eliminates the center knuckle’s sloppiness, a common weak point in the stock system.
- Advanced Construction Techniques: Utilizing pulse welding for stronger, more durable shafts, compared to traditional welding methods.
- High-Speed CV Joints: Equipped with purpose-built, high-speed CV joints from GKN in Germany, capable of handling up to 6800 ft-lbs of torque.
